Lots of locals probably happy. If not for this crazy storm, Palestine would have gotten a ton of attention

Not safely! 20 is closed from Marshal to Monroe still. There talking bout not opening it back till afternoon tomorrow. We are suppose get low teens so it will lead to everything freezing back up. Zach Birge was stuck on 20 in Shreveport for hours other night trying get to this event. I would think he is livid currently over this happening as most these guys drove from Florida thru the bad weather to get there

That sucks, I hate it but I do think they made a good decision. Wish they could have pushed it back a week or two.

I dont think the texas lakes need that publicity personally, they get enough pressure as it is.
After that new record was caught at Nachogdoches last spring it was insane, went from me and 3-4 other guys on weekdays at the ramp to full parking lots on both ramps....
That said it would have been interesting to say the least with this weather to see if they could catch much.
