15 hours since we lost power here at my place in NRH. I had less than 1/4 cord of wood. Have gone through most of the wood already. Electric everything in the house so no option for gas anything. We have been able to keep the living room at 57-59 degrees throughout the day. Just put all the kids down for the night. We are all cuddled up here in the living room. Cannot find anymore firewood. Bought 45 pounds of lump charcoal today. Mixing it in with the wood. It is doing its job and slowing down the use of the wood we have left. We will be good tonight but damn I hope we get power back soon for the kids sake.

Ours went back out at 11. Bracing for another long night.

Ours was out for 18hrs just came back on at 10pm. We got messaged that power would be on for a while and they would turn it off again.

Out for 10 plus hours this round. Their map shows our house is one of 2 in our subdivision that's out. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!? There are less than 300 houses in my subdivision, but only 2 without power? Huh?

Came back on here at 2:20am. Almost exactly 24 hrs.

My uverse is out, I cant live like this.

Been 30 hours since we had the power.

Current estimated time to be up is 5pm today.

F it's cold. Really getting bad.47 inside -3 outside.

We are maintains and hoping for electricity.

Been off since yesterday morning with a slight exception. Last night around 8 the power came on, then shut off, on and off 4 times. It seems like they were trying but it did not work.

Am hoping for good news soon.

Power went out yesterday at 6 am.
Came back on at 5pm for 1hour.
Was in the 40s in the house last night.
Came back on 6:30.
We will see how long this last.
Also need to go get more wood.

How do you like those wind generators and solar panels now I bet you wish that good old reliable Monticello was back up and running with that good old clean coal now, not to mention the fishing. When the plants are gone you will have more and more days of not reliable wind and solar energy. those electric cars won't go very far without a generator to recharge those batteries.

Sadly, a lot of this loss of power is due to Natural Gas and a Nuclear Plant at the moment. The Natural Gas Plants are running at 40% due to lack of fuel supplies and one of Texas's Nuclear plants is off line because the cooling water line is frozen.

the problem is actually over population

Shutting down all the coal plants didnt have anything to do with it did it.
