What is best way to get them working? Then best way to prevent it from happening again. House is older pier and beam. All hot water off and cold water is off in bathroom. So far kitchen has cold water but after tomorrow who knows. House is on a slight angle so access in back where most pipes are is only 18".

Turn the heat up in your house, like 75 to 80. Let the faucets drip. Do you have a heat gun that you can get under house with? A turbo torch will work also.

An add-on hot water recirculating pump would probably keep it from happening again in the future. It installs in the location in the house furthest from the water heater (usually a bathroom) and keeps hot water available at that location (and all locations in between) by pumping the lukewarm, cooled-off water that was in the pipe back into the cold side.

Keep your faucets dripping, open cabinet doors under faucets, keep house warm.

If the house is older forget dripping in these temps. My mom tried that. Did not work out.

Keep them at like 20%. Hot and cold equal. $100 water bill is way better than the alternative trust me.

To make sure the line going to the toilet from freezing, jammed a butter knife under the flapper to make a very slow leak. The water valve has to cycled about once every 2-3 minutes for a very short period of time to make up for the leak.

I'm dealing with this not. Cold water quit working in kitchen and guest bath room. Went to master bath which is closest to main line. Cold in shower and toilet worked but not in sink. Turned on hot water in sink and 5 minutes later water coming out from the baseboard behind the toilet. Flushed toilet and it gurgled and more water seeped through base board and smelled funky. I have a septic system and may have a problem. Just shut water off and tried calling a few plumbers. No luck in this storm. Dang house is only 4 years old too.

Well a drip may be understatement lol. I'm on well and am keeping water flowing pretty good right now. We have started a load of laundry late every night last 2 nights, all faucets inside dripping. I guarantee the 2 outside faucets on north side of house are frozen even covered. I have a light on well housing running. Pool is running nonstop. Emergency heat just kicked in on one of the heat pumps. Gonna be an exciting electric bill.

Same here, I caught one shower trying to freeze up. Everything is running half open now. Just gotta get through 2 more days.

I checked the water temp coming out of the most likely freeze issue and it was at 50 so hoping all is going to be good. Have it running at a good drip. Drinking now.
