I've been here in the D/FW area since 1979, came down here from the Scranton PA area after one winter up there.

Been a fan of the heat ever since. 27 I can handle OK, check back with me after a week of this carp. Currently 16f with a feels like -4f . . . . I'm not going out today or tomorrow.

107. Ask me the same question this August and I'll tell you the same thing.

I did enjoy the snow a couple weeks ago, but it didn’t get very cold and the snow melted the next day.

I think you make a good point. The air vents in the ceiling and 12 ft. ceilings are stupid when it comes to heating for comfort. We have natural gas heat but backed off of our comfort level thermostat settings today as part of trying to not run our state out of gas. I wouldn't mind bumping it up a few degrees and paying a few xtra $. Why is it that everytime we get a cold spell or a hot spell, the threat of running out of some resource has to be issued?

27 for me. Hate the heat. 107 would be brutal. A couple years ago we were pulling a travel trailer to San Angelo. Temps got close to 107.

Blew a trailer tire in Kerrville. My 4 way lug wrench couldn’t grab the lugs so we had to call a tire service. Told the wife we weren’t leaving Kerrville without a spare. Found the local Discount Tire and got a replacement.

An hour later, we were exiting I-10 at Junction and blew another tire. There’s a local tire service there. After another service charge and another tire purchase. We limped our way SA. Spent almost a grand on tires and service. Local Walmart had the lug wrench I needed.

Heat was brutal all week. We were supposed to head home the next Monday. Again, forecast was 105+. Instead, we headed back at 8:00 Sunday evening. Got home around 4:00 am with no issues

I’ll take the cold every time.

Jimmy

I so so wish I liked the heat... especially living here in Tejas...
But not moving where it is cooler... to many yankees.

Gimme 27.. I try to hibernate in the hottest part of the summer.

Arthritis likes 107 better than 27

27, but just because I have to work in it. I can stay warm at 27, if it's 107 outside it's 130 at work.
The most miserable I've ever been was around 107 in Texas City, 100% humidity in fire retardant gear.

27 is not bad, it's barely freezing. I'm content as long as the temp is above 0 and below 100.

I'm going with 27.

Of course the humidity affects both extremes. Dressed well 27 is quite tolerable. Only time 107 is tolerable is in the water or inside the A/C and both of those are pretty restrictive.

I might add the 27 with a stiff breeze is miserable.
