I ordered a terrova and received an ulterra, same length and thrust. Have option to send for exchange or keep. I chose terrova when I ordered simply because It was the least expensive that had the features I that mattered the most. Not sure if I should choose to keep or send for the exchange to terrova. Experienced input welcome.

I have the Terrova with I-pilot Link and B-T. I've had both foot cable and hand control before. And am very happy with the electric drive pedal or remote wireless hand held devise. Some people like the cable drives. Some like the cord or cordless drives of Bluetooth. The Ulterra is certainly a higher priced unit of the two.

Edit: I just realized you were asking about the Ulterra. And was thinking you said Ultrex. roflmao
I'd certainly keep an Ulterra if I had one. I chose the Terrova because of the weight savings of the 55lb thrust and one less battery in my little 16 foot G3 river Jon.

I have had the Ulterra for 3 years and then it broke this year. I had it fixed because I don't think I could use anything else. I love the auto deploy.

At this point if I had to give up the ulterra I would probably give up the boat also.

Love my Ulterra. It would be a major downgrade to me to have anything else. I really wish it would get some competition.

No offense, but are you serious? If someone sent me an Ulterra when they were supposed to send me a Terrova, and then said I could keep it at no additional charge? I would say thank you very much and enjoy it. If you have your heart set on a Terrova, I'll trade ya mine, straight up.

Ive had 3 Ultrex and 1 Ulterra with problems on all. The Ulterra has been repaired 3 times. Stow and deploy stopped working all 3 times. 2 times covered under warranty but 3rd time was over $500 to repair. Not dependable so now sits on floor in mancave. Primary is now a Ghost with a Fortrex as a backup.
