Cold water jig fishing shines with a big presentation with a slow fall and less action due to the slower metabolism of a bass during the winter. Summertime is when plastic trailers shine. Faster fall and more actions available.

Faster fall and more actions available. This, in super cold water pvc based plastic stiffens and hurts the action, pork stays supple. Now the new z-man elaztech plastic I'm not sure how it reacts to cold. Hadn't used this stuff since probably 2004, I bought some of this new pork and pulled it out to use in this recent cold weather... it still works. Last edited by SC-001; 02/13/21 01:52 AM.
