Now I think I know the clothes to wear, what do you drink to stay hydrated? Remember, I'll be at work, so definately NO alcohol. As I recall alcohol has the opposite effect anyway. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Water and even if you think you aren't thirsty DRINK. If you wait until you are thirsty it's too late.

Another vote for water. I take several bottles with me and on a hot day will drink between 6-12.

Water is better than gatorade. Take gatorade only to supplement the water from time to time. If your urine is dark or smelly, you are dehydrated and need water badly.

Water. Plus, you can store it in its own insulated jug. Takes up less cooler room.

Gatorade, water and Cokes. I'll drink one Gatorade, a Coke and four to five waters in a tournament.

Just as important is to hydrate the day before and the day after. I had a T yesterday so Friday I drank plenty of water and today I will too.

Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

John175 is right on about the day before and after, especially in the heat of the summer. I will drink a large gatoraide and lots of water on Friday before a tournament on Saturday. Then I will drink a gatoraide and 5 or 6 waters thoughout the tournament. Then on Sunday, stay afte the water. If it is not hot, even wind blowing across your body will dehydrate you, so don't think because it's not hot you don't need to drink.

The best drink of water you will ever have: I take an empty plastic organge juice gallon jug and fill it with drinking water from my fridge. Fill it only about 3/4 of the way full to leave room for it to expand. Stick it in the freezer. When I go fishing I just stick it in the boat and it thaws out perfectly through out the day to keep me hydrated. It will have a small organge aftertaste. Cold and refreshing! Enjoy!
