My brother and I fished a tournament on PK once and the temp never got above 19. That was a two time tournament for both of us. First time to do it and never do it a second time. I'm a fair weather fisherman now and am happy to be one.

17 on Travis in Feb. around 1979 or 1980. Caught 20 something.

On Georgetown in 1984. Brother and I slept on the trailered boat in camp and woke up to 19 degree temps. Sleeping bags had ice on them.

Coldest is -31 in the morning and warmed up close to zero. (Lake Platoro Colorado ice fishing) Ice on the eyelashes.. And second was close to that on 15 mile reservoir. Batteries in camera really struggled.

Im sitting on the lake with some strong wind. Co-idiot fishing with me was Matt C.

That is crazy

For the record the -31 with nearly no humidity was about like fishing in 30's weather here in Tx. The humidity really takes it out of you.. I would fly fish rivers in 8 degree F and lay down in the grass and take a nap.. It wasn't the same as here. As I was raised here in Tx, It is way colder here than up in the mountains..

Yep that same guy told me that last week.. If we are talking about the same fisherman, looks like Gandalf the grey... If it is the same man, He has really helped me out this last year.. Amazing fella and as I refer to "Good people"...
