One can, and I have, practice pistol shooting in your room, in this case it was my BOQ room, using a .38 pistol, a #2 pencil and a piece of paper with a small circle on it, the aiming point, taped to a wall.
If you need more instructions, well, it's too late for ya.....

One can, and I have, practice pistol shooting in your room, in this case it was my BOQ room, using a .38 pistol, a #2 pencil and a piece of paper with a small circle on it, the aiming point, taped to a wall.
If you need more instructions, well, it's too late for ya..... You need a consistent launch velocity for the pencil from the pin strike so that the impact point reflects your steady sight picture and gentle trigger squeeze rather than variations in the pencil launch speed. Some pistols are much more consistent than others.
