that far north they have a winter blend that has anti gel, down here you may or may not get enough anti gel is why I mentioned it.

gelled fuel is not fun at all, takes a lot longer for it to warm up and go back to liquid.

Thanks for the reminder Hop, I have some that is a few years old. Do you think is still good or should it be replaced?

I normally add about a gallon or two regular no lead to my tank in the winter at each fill up,that being said I just added the howes diesel treat today,I have been in Iowa in -17 and never had a problem,but as stated earlier we don’t get the good winter fuel down here.

think it should still be good, bottle should have info on expiration if it does go bad.

won't hurt to get fresh tho

Anything that goes north of Amarillo has an anti-gel additive and blended with about 20% Kerosene.

What about DEF? Says it starts to freeze @ 12f. I don’t think there is any way around it, is there?
