Does any one have any experience with installing Beavertail Pods on the back of a jon boat? I'm thinking of having them welded on to the back of my 16 foot Lowe.
Interested in what you guys think?

I also considered adding pods at one time to my 16 ft Lowe . I wanted to get a larger motor and with the extra weight pods looked like a good solution to help keep the water level where I wanted it on the transom. With 3 batteries and the fuel tank in the back the transom rides a little lower than I really like . It looks like its real helpful to not install them too low so they do not cause drag when the boat gets on plane . I noticed some of the pods have a little more angle on the bottom than other pods to help avoid dragging when getting on plane . Good luck .
