Very nicely written.  Living in or travelling in other countries will sure open your eyes too just how special the United States really is.

As a first generation immigrant to the United States, it is an exhilarating experience to witness such opportunity, enthusiasm, optimism, and freedoms. The USA is a beacon of hope for many people around the world as a dream of what is possible. The citizens of the US might have some differences of opinion, but should be very proud of the nation they continue to improve and progress.
