This trade was about 2022 - getting Elvis off the books and taking a flyer on a young pitcher and good defensive catcher. Davis is likely just a one year rental.

They missed their chance,should have made the A's take Odor or no trade. I liked Elvis he seemed to always have a great attitude. Yeah his on field performance was down but how much was some of that due to ownership failing to put a decent team together.

Oh no! Now who on the team is going to spend all their time coming up with funny handshakes? I hope the deal included 3 or 4 unused ones to get the season started until the new Funny Handshake Guy is up to speed.

Last thing this team needed as another all or nothing bat like Davis. 200 strikeout a year guy like Gallo. Why on earth do they thing .200 avg, 200 strikeout guys that can maybe hit 30-40 fingers is secret to success?
