I was probably a few weeks too late. I noticed this morning all sorts of new green [censored] popping up in my yard.

You have a couple over the counter options for St. Aug. if they are broadleaf you can hose your yard down with Atrazine. Box stores carry a hose end product. If it's poa annua Atrazine is labeled for it. I've read mixed reviews in the past. Image in another option for Poa. But lets see what you're dealing with first.

Hi Derek, Thanks for the heads-up, I picked up a couple of bags of this a couple of days ago, couldn't resist at $5 a bag. Trying to determine what may be the best schedule to apply it. I also have the Andersons Barricade which I plan to put down in the next couple of weeks. Do you think it would be best to apply the Barricade at the 6 month rate and then the Sunniland at the 6 month rate 3 months later and continue alternating the two, or what would be a better schedule for applying them?

I would do the Barricade at the 6 month rate. At month 5 I would do the Sunniland. Sunniland is Dithiopyr. I would do Dithiopyr at 3 month rates. Dithiopyr soil residual breaks down faster than Prodiamine. 3 month rate of the Sunniland is 5lbs per 1000. I would continue to use the Sunniland at 3 month app rates until you use it up then switch back. They are the same mode of action so switching them back and forth won't really do anything. Or continue to use the Anderson's until you use it up and switch to Sunni until you use it all up.

Follow up question MAK747 You've been using Anderson's. How has it been working out for you so far?

i am going with tenacity this year. Not a product I would use. You're the 3rd person I've heard mention it this month. I know you're from Kentucky and that's the northern zone and tt's popular up there. A guy a few streets over has been spot spraying it as I can see the bleaching effect when he does. I've been meaning to stop by and talk to him. His lawn is ok but not that great. Still has lots of Dallis and that's what he's spraying. Anyway. I wouldn't spray Tenacity on Bermuda. Which is what I have. Matt Martin broke down Tenacity as a scam. His video pissed a lot of people off. Worth a watch.

Kentucky if you're going to squirt Tenacity. Why not squirt Prodiamine and Isoxaben and Simazine? Typical bottle/jug of each is a multi year supply for a single home owner. Many post emergent options available to squirt too.

Follow up question MAK747 You've been using Anderson's. How has it been working out for you so far? Last fall was the first time I used the Barricade. It worked relatively well but I did have a bit of Rescue Grass break through. My timing of the fall application may have been a bit off or possibly just not good coverage.

I like Allyn. He got with Sunniland and was able to work out a small package deal where he sells 5oz bottles for $20.00 - But you buy a 5lb jug from Solutions Pest and Lawn for $65.00
