So is AMC the only one everyone is watching / buying / holding? Gamestop seems too high to buy in at this point. sub-200 is fine but at $350...hard to convince me anyway. The rest seem like they have less retail investor momentum than AMC, and since retail momentum is what's driving all of this, AMC seems like the best bet.

UK freetrade is too overwhelmed and getting halted on buys! It's crazy how many people overseas are getting in on this too.... ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2021/01/full-93611-83077-freetrade.jpg)

Ok, I'm starting to learn. I sold enough AMC at $14.50 this morning to cover my buy-in. So it's all a matter of how high it can go now. Or, like Huckleberry and stuntman, I'll buy more if it gets into the 9-10 range.
This has been a good week for learning and a good thread for learning. Thanks to all for sharing thoughts & advice. You realize usually when this type of thing happens (a stock runs due to media) it goes back down to where it WAS, so buying at a dip as you say above may not be a dip it may be on its way back down.... You can look at Kodak (was going to switch to making vaccine) from earlier this year, Moderna (vaccine) and Nikola NKLA Electric Semi, from this year if you want some recent examples. All three went way up on media hype and returned back to earth rather quickly. I could never understand why Moderna made its huge run since phizer didnt hardly waver.

And when the democrats and their hedge fund buddies step in they are gonna swing some vote to the free market loving Republicans. Assuming the republicans as they sit now not s the bed which is questionable.

Such a big rush of FOMO at the moment. Tulip Mania comes to mind. This 100%. People getting in right now are probably going to take a hit on GME.... we'll have to see how many people actually hold. Also, if you invest and you haven't heard of tulip mania, you should definitely look it up....

Assuming the republicans as they sit now not s the bed which is questionable. All Republicans and Democrats are beholden to the big money donors....guess where most of those donors come from? It's all just lip service from both sides of the aisle. They DO NOT care about the little guy.

So is AMC the only one everyone is watching / buying / holding? GameStop is still in play, and KOSS Corp is making some big moves too. I think these vigilante groups are seeking out and trying to destroy the hedge fund parasites and they are doing a good job thus far. It’s driving the corporate shill talking heads nuts.

Yeah I realize it may not get back to where it was. I was into AVXL several years ago. Bought a bunch at $4, then $5, then $6, more at $10, and some at $12. It got to $14 two days before their phase 2 test results released and folks were saying it would be at $100 within 2-3 days. Then the day before release, it plummeted. I sold at $9 and made lots, but lost a ton compared to if I'd sold at $14. Test results came out and they were good, but it didn't matter. The market was being manipulated by the owners of AVXL, who had numerous stock options and would pump the price up and then dump a ton. So, I fully understand it may not go back up. But I don't think that AMC theaters are going the way of Kodak or Nikola. JMHO. Now it may go back down to $5 and never get to $10 again...but that's the risk.

DOGE is akin to walking up to a slot machine and putting $100 bucks in. Most likely you aren't going to win - but it's fun to gamble. Don't play with more than you want to lose. Lots of people taking profit from it - it was in the $0.0018 range for a long time. It is NOT an investment - but rather a fun gamble.
