Does anybody know if the power plant is running at lake Arlington? We’re looking for a close warm water lake to fish in the next couple of weeks.

I don't think its used but a few days a year. The only time I have ever seen it going was in the summer time.

Was out there about a week ago and it wasn't running. I've rarely seen it run in the wintertime. Only when it gets frigid cold.

Thats my money fish

it was running often in the heat of summer but only caught it once in the cold. I think its only a peak demand plant now..

When it gets in the 20’s and everyone is is running their heaters and the “grid” is getting taxed.....maybe. Unfortunately it happens more when the temps are consistently over 100. If it gets stupid cold and you see the steam coming off it get out there!

It is mainly there just to take some of the burden off of the grid, on those over 100 days. I don't know if I have ever seen it run in the winter
