I was reading recently that hugging a dog is not good. There is nothing in the dog world that equates to a hug. It is a human/primate interaction. Most dogs will tolerate it, but no dog likes it.
Proof is in the picture

Courage - knowing something will hurt and still doing it.
Stupidity - knowing something will hurt and still doing it.

That’s why life is difficult

People and dog behavior is becoming stupid to the nth degree. I saw a guy in Tom Thumb yesterday pushing a baby carriage and in the carriage was one of those foofoo shaggy dogs with a sweater and hat. Yes, no doubt as to which side of the aisle he was on.

Aisle side is always a factor Bob. Probably lets it lick him all over the face too...especially the lips.

Damn....Bad deal. Don't wish that upon anyone. She's young and the scars will fade.

Had a first-time visitor years ago that hugged our dog and wanted to give her a snuggle. Right at the moment I said "DON'T" she snapped at his face. Didn't break skin but he left soon afterwards.

Heck, I saved her from heartworms and I don't hug dogs.

Too much can go wrong when their self-preservation instinct kicks in.

Word.....

And then there are the ones who practically let there dogs drive the car. I don’t get it, how does having your dog in your lap, hanging out the window, while you are trying to drive seem reasonably safe or like a good idea? Or even fun? The only thing missing would be them smoking a cigarette while talking in their cell phone.

I usually yell at them when I go by and scream how stupid but they typically wave and smile thinking I am complementing them on how cute their dog is because I believe they are that clueless.

My daughter has a problem with getting in dogs face and talking in that little baby voice . I’ve told her and told her not to do it my dogs love it but the problem is she gets them all riled up in doing so .She learned a good but hard lesson the other day when smalls the bull terrier popped up in her fit of excitement and busted her in the nose with the top of her skull. Looked like a murder scene and I freaked out screaming and barking and chaos . Then I figured out what happened ... we cleaned her up and talked to her . Hopefully she won’t do that again .
