Anybody have experience using the Drotto boat latch or any of the other brands? I've got a couple of steep ramps that are difficult to get the boat hooked up to when I'm fishing alone. I have a twenty year old Ranger bass boat to install it on and wanted anyone's wisdom in what to get if they've used these.

I just put a ramp n clamp on my 95 champion, only messed with it the day I installed it but am gonna like how easy loading is now.,

is not as much as the drotto but they both seem to work on the same principle. I like the pad on the bow eye instead of the roller too.

yeah i have had my drotto for 3 years at least.

Before it and with a tempest prop which wouldnt hold my boat on the trailer, I made a little wood wedge to hold it just above idle.

I have had one of the Drotto's for about three years. It works well. I get out of the boat and back the trailer in. She drives the boat up on the trailer and it latches and I pull it out of the water and further secure it. Otherwise, I would have to get in the water to latch the boat as it would slide back a foot or so when I pulled out of the water. It is easy to install. I wish I had gotten the one for deep V as it would have worked better but it was not easy to tell from the instructions which one to get.

There used to be one called the Boat Buddy I believe it was. Had one on my boat for about 12 years. Loved it, and it was on it when I sold the boat

sport, go to their site and read the info tho, most bass hulls use the sport, they have a ranger specific and I think another for v hulls like aluminum boats have.

very well built and super easy to install

I have the Ramp N Clamp as well. Easy installation and my boat partner no longer gets his feet wet to hook up the boat.

I bought the Drotto about a month ago or so and it is fantastic. I highly recommend it.
