Decided to go when it looked like it might clear a little today, left the house about noon. Got on the water around 12:45. Got some bait, and tried a couple new spots. 1 spot, couple nice box fish, but not much activity. Decided I'd move. Next spot, 1st drift, 10 pounder right off the bat, pulled a couple of 7ish pounders, after drifting a little further, couple more box fish, and a couple good takedowns, that didn't set the hook, so I missed them. Decided to run the same drift again, pulled a couple around five pounds, and finally got me a toad. Not a giant, but my personal best, right at 25 lbs. Had to fight him in through my drift sock, which was really fun. He finally untangled himself, and saved me the trouble. Got caught up in one of my suspended lines right at the boat, but freed himself from that too. Photo op, then released. Got off the water at 4:30. Pretty productive day, for such a short time on the water.


Pics aren't the greatest. I was by myself, and just had my phone to try and take pics. Guess I need some other setup, for when I'm by myself.

I agree with you about trying to take pictures by yourself with a cell phone, LOL. I gave up last week, and just laid it on the floor of the boat.
