Thank you all for praying. This morning they performed a tracheostomy on my uncle to give him a bit more time to show improvement. He's been on a ventilator due to NON-Covid pneumonia... After no longer being sedated since Saturday, this afternoon, he woke up! My mom is so happy! He does have a small brain hemorrhage and can't be on blood thinners so we're praying he doesn't get a blood clot. Still a long road and a lot of rehab in his future, BUT he's awake! Praise God... so grateful to Him and the medical team!

Thank you all. He's been on a ventilator about 18 to 20 days... can't talk yet, but tries to mouth words. Mom got him to smile. We had already planned his funeral, because, well... anyway, please if you haven't get a medical directive together so your loved ones don't have to make difficult decisions... Mom has his medical power of attorney and has had to make a lot of difficult choices lately and it's definitely taken a toll on her.
