We caught it on private property on ray hubbard, my girlfriends dad lives on the lake and im up here for the month. Ive been fishing almost everyday. The weirdest thing is that ive been hooking into some giant cats using crappie jigs. We caught that flathead an the smallest red black and chartruese jig. i couldnt beleive he didnt bend the hook out of his mouth. We hooked into about 4 big cats, this being the only one we could get on shore. all the fish weve been catching have been on crappie jigs. The fight lasted about 10 minutes, Im sure we had one bigger the other day. That one fought for around 10 minutes then broke off, about 70 percent of my line was out.

Nice fish.
If they are biting like that on crappie jigs, I could only imagine what a perch on a strong hook would do for you.
