If that's what yall have for BBQ in East Texas, then you boys don't have good BBQ in East Texas.
The best part of my meal was the hot towel afterward.
I got a single meat plate with sliced brisket. Brisket was cold, dry, and no flavor.
Coworker had two meat plate. He's from up north where they lack taste buds.
And.......$53.00 for the above, a sweet tea and an ice water.
Terrible.

You go to CT for the ribs. Without a doubt the best ribs in the state.

There are a few decent restaurants in East Texas, but it's no place for a foodie. One of my favorite things about being on the road is going to good restaurants. If you live in East Texas, you know the good places and you keep quite. CT has ribs and not much else. There is good barbecue in East Texas, but CT would be way down on my list.

You go to CT for the ribs. Without a doubt the best ribs in the state. This, if you arent eating ribs you should not be there

Y'all can laugh at me all you want, but I like the ribs at spring creek. Not the best ever, but plenty tasty.

The Original Bodacious in Longview is as good as anywhere I've ever been and I've hit the top 8 or 10 in the last 5 years

Terrible. if this is true its a sham we ate there in the early 90's when we live in east TX. Boy their ribs were great back then.
