I've had one beating on my kitchen window for the last week. Cute little bugger.

Biden famously said in the New York Observer, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

That may have been the little bird hopping around the front door yesterday.

Mouses?

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

We've had several flocks of Cedar Waxwings come through, drink from our fountain, and poop all over everything.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a goldfinch around here, cardinals for sure

I have probably a couple of dozen gold finches hitting my feeders. Also a lot of house finches, cardinals and titmice(mouses). I feed black oil sun flower seed exclusively.

May try to post up a pic later.

I don’t know if they’re goldfinches (they don’t look like what a Google image search returns, but they’re about the same size) but my wife has a feeder in front of our kitchen and laundry room windows. They bang on it every morning for about three hours. It’s annoying.

I’m at full capacity with gold, purple and house finches and they will let you know if you change to diff type of finch seeds, they will sling the unwanted seeds everywhere!

Several bluejays, cardinals, gold finch, some chickadees mixed in as well, and about 6 dove roosting and eating the seeds we put out. Some seeds we put on the ground and some in the feeders. Squirrels do not fare well, they only come in once to steal seeds.

Awesome. As I've gotten older, I keep our bird feeders full every day. Love seeing the various species. Paying penance perhaps for having established my shooting skills early on as a child with my BB gun at their expense when I was a youngster in Missouri. It served me well in the Corps, but I hope the songbird population in that region has recovered. [Linked Image]
