This time of year you may catch some at a fishing barge at a marina.
Use 6 pound test string. use minnows or jigs. Black and white, black chartreuse and white/chartreuse are common colors.
For a jig head use 1/16 oz
walmart has jig kits with jigs and heads.
If you have a creek near you can use a bobber and minnows. You can also use a jig and bobber. cast a jig with a bobber out and slowly pop it across the creek.
You can youtube it

I'd say creeks too, but the only one I absolutely know is productive is Buck creek out of Ray Roberts. There will be a ton of people fishing it though. The little bridge (Railroad) holds some decent fish.

There's a bank fishing forum on here. Look in those threads for some advice. Those guys specialize in bank fishing.
And fishin aholic2 has a youtube channel with good advice.

Thanks for the kind words you guys!

Creeks or docks/barges are your best bet. Creeks are blown out from the rain and not productive at the moment so I would try a dock or barge if you can. Lynn Creek on Joe pool, lewisville barge, barges on ray hubbard are good places to check out.
