Since I am an olds, just how do you purchase groceries or a tank of gas with a $40,000.00 Bit Coin? Do they give you back $39,950.00 worth of change or credit? PayPal and some other online retailers are going to start taking it. It's only a matter of time before card readers will start accepting it. You can use PayPal to buy it. I threw $20 at it. Yep, I'm a BIG spender....

When I worked as a services stockbroker we had a bunch of young guys in college that would call in. They were all pumped when bitcoin broke 14k, opened up as many credit cards as they could (when you could buy bitcoin on credit) and maxed them all out.... then less than a year later it was under 4k. Plus govt. still has to get their piece, I know it hasn't been regulated but if you think the govt. isn't going to regulate gains on this you're kidding yourself... Hopefully the kids didn't panic and sell out, seems to happen a lot. Its regulated. You have to pay taxes on trades

You don't have to sell the whole Bitcoin. You can sell any percent you want
depending on what amount of cash you need. That goes the same for buying it.

You can sell stocks, options, or cryptos and have the money into your account on there, they issue you a card linked to that account and it works like a debit card.

Yes, just like your annual stock gains/losses, its part of your return. I'll have an offset this year but next year is going to be a big IRS check assuming I sell some holdings (which I plan on doing).
