Given the latest incidents of civil unrest, I wonder what the sentiment of the TFF is on ammo prices. I know what my opinion is, but I'm also a moron on random days.

The leftists, now in power, don't like the populace having guns and the ability to resist control. Expect an attack 10x on the 2nd amendment. Leftists, even here, don't mind pricing ammo out of reach of ordinary folk. Expect ammo prices to get worse, and even black market sales once they outlaw or control the ammo producers.

So will the increase in ammo prices come from taxes you think? I mean, it still only cost .30 to make a round of 5.56, so it's not like the cost can come from anywhere else. I just picked up another 200pk of 5.56 at Academy for $94.99 so will the socialist say, Winchester and Academy, we are now charging a 273% tax on all ammo manufacturing and sales?

If I had to guess, I would say that will exactly happen.

As much as I didn't want to, I bought some more 9mm and 5.56 online at inflated prices along with a Sig M18 to take with me to the coast fishing on a boat that has questionable floating issues.

I have enough ammo to get more ammo.

Over the years a rush has happened like this several times. The problem is the manufacturers were caught totally off guard when this one started and can’t catch up. The price of powder and the slow process of building primers is going to make it more costly as time goes on. But in a year or so I imagine it will get better as far as availability. Price won’t come down until the rush is over and a glut starts to build up.

I see components and the ammo itself going up in price because I expect the Communists will tax the daylights out of the companies to drive those, who don't have the resources (companies and individuals), to meet the added cost of the tax, out of the business or have a finite supply.

As a gift to personal injury lawyers, ammo manufacturers will soon become targets (pun intended).
