A buddy & I are thinking about a trip to Graham to try these lakes. I've looked online haven't found a lot of information about either lake.

Neither of us have ever fished them & were hoping for any advice or recommendations we could get regarding finding some crappie. I know both lakes have standing timber that sure look like it would hold some fish.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have fished for hybrids and sand bass there before. It was good fishing.
Plenty of bait in the lake also. I have heard the crappie fishing was good but never tried it. I think you would cstch fish if you went.

Thanks, Randy. I appreciate it. It looks like there are a couple of pretty good ramps toward the south side of the lakes. Now we just have to find a time between cold fronts to get there & try it out.

If you put in near the power plant, there are a couple of spots near the power plant and the dock across from the ramp has been moved in so the old brush can be fished from a boat.

In the cold weather I have caught them under 380 when the lake was up with my 10 foot pole on the access road and underneath. I have caught them in the crappie house in cold weather too. I have never fished there in a boat. I am referencing the Graham side bridge.
