I have 1.77 inch diameter Swivel-Ezz bass boat seat pedestals and constantly have a problem with them sticking in the receptacles when I want to remove them. I usually have to use a Monkey Wrench and 3 foot extension pipe and 2 people to get them out. Suggestions for remedy?

I had a similar problem on my Champion 206 before i sold it. It was caused by the fact that they painted the factory poles which made them bigger. I sanded all the paint off and flapper wheeled the hole to solve the problem. I then made sure I took them out every couple of months and did a little more sanding and flapper wheel to keep them loose. Any kind of lubrication make it worse by the way. Hope this helps.

they make a plug you can drive into the 177 hole that has a 3/4 pin type that is much easier to deal with.

Had a similar problem so I used a 3/4 inch Forstner bit ( same size as the seat pedestal) and drilled it down thru the nylon bushing hole for the seat pedestal. It removed just a fraction of material...when those nylon bushings are installed it can compress the bushing so they become a super tight fit...then sprayed both the bushing hole and pedestal with silicon spray...now they slip in and out with just normal effort...

I use dish soap and keep it capped until I need to install the seat.
I thought about sprays like WD-40 or a powder type lubricant but didn’t want it to have a chance to get on the carpet and stain or mess up the glue.

Are any of the 1.77” to 3/4” conversion bushings threaded to support the screw-in bases common with the 3/4” pedestals? If not has anyone tried to inset a metal threaded section to these bushings? I think they are all nylon that I’ve seen. Is anyone aware of ones that are metal or maybe nylon with a metal core?
I really don’t like the 1.77” pedestal concept. They are invariably sloppy very quickly. With no reasonable way to fix them.
