Gitter...I think it varies a little year to year...but generally speaking I would say from late Feb to mid April....

That sounds about right Steve. I personally have not targeted the bass but when I was fishing Fayette on a regular basis it seems to me that the bass anglers were saying Late February through early April! I am guessing water temperature will play a major factor in the spawn. thumb

Thanks Vogey and Chuck. I kind of thought it would late winter or early spring.

Well I was planing on going to Fayette tomorrow but my buddy who lives on Toledo Bend wants me to join him tomorrow and Wed/Thursday. He has a huge log home right on Toledo Bend so its hard to say no. Tomorrow we are going to fish Rayburn for bass and because of the rain we are going to do crappie on Toledo Bend Wednesday. Bringing the rain gear. By the way for you old farts for which Im one, I got my first dose of the Covid 19 vaccine last Wednesday and I had no side effects from it except for a sore arm for two days. So based on my experience (wife to) dont be afraid of it.
