This year I got way more confident in jigs. No special color for me but can go wrong with pink and chartreuse. I also use hand ties and plastics. Boneheqd has some great plastics although their jigheads are very average.
I also mix up colors with nibbles. This year is the first year I also tried the Bobby garland rattles inside my plastic jig. I'm a believer it makes a difference.

What would you say has been your most successful "lure" to catch crappie this past year? White marabou with a red head. A ditto for practically any year. If they are hard to bite, I dip it in liquid crappie nibbles:
