I guess the thought: "You never know what others may be going through", really applies here. I should take that to heart. Prayers for those who have had health issues of any kind. Without your health, the rest is meaningless. My family has been fortunate so far. Other than the China flu and its primary and secondary effects(mask mandates and loss of normalcy and freedom), and the election fraud, it has been meh ok.

LIFELONG friend, literally a 45 year friendship came to an end. Never tell anyone you'll be there and then ghost them, for ANY reason or amount of time. A ligetime of respect can be bruned in a few weeks of being ignored on purpose. You broke your word to me.
Boat for sale......serious.

I will be praying for you. Jesus Christ is all you need. Jesus will never leave you. I have accepted Jesus has my Lord and Savior many years ago. He has never left me and as always seen me through my toughest times of my life. Through the Grace of God through Jesus Christ, one of these days I will be going to Heaven. A simple Sinners Prayer is all I said to have the most wonderful friend you can ever have come into your life forever. The prayer is this. "God Forgive Me A sinner. I want to accept Jesus Christ has my Savior. Amen. I will be praying for you! angel2

This thread along with this post has opened up my heart. Love the members of the TFF and the words they say to all in need. If there ever was a thread of the year this should be the one! Praying for all in need! angel2

My uncle was admitted to a hospital last night. He was flown about 1:30 a.m. from a hospital in Cleburne to Frisco....no other area hospitals could take him. His initial Covid rapid test was negative, but he definitely has pneumonia and is on a bipap, which I guess is better than being intubated...he has a fever of 103. He's a Vietnam vet and has a lot of health conditions from that...they have him listed as Covid pending until a PCR test result is given...

Praying he pulls through this. 2021 is off to one heck of a start.

I was fortunate that 2020 was a good year for me and my wife. No illness, no friends died, saw my sister and nephews for the first time in 10 years. Compared to what other folks have gone thru I am very lucky. So 2021 will be good if I can just find the perfect house on a lake or on the St. Johns river in Florida.

I feel guilty for not having such a bad year as some of you. My bad part of the year was January when I had come back home from fishing Fork and woke up the next morning to go back and someone had shot my car. The bullet blew out passenger window, through driver side door and speaker, and then through wooden fence... one shot. Didn't get to go fishing that day. Year got worse on trip to fish in south Florida when Tropical Storm ETNA rained on my parade for 5 days and high winds made fishing difficult. Otherwise no complaints.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Personally.... Not all that bad. I did get laid off in September, but was well compensated and can get unemployment. I also decided to retire since I turned 62 in December. Better than just retiring without nothing but a handshake and a thank you.

Praying for the ones on here that had a really bad 2020, I for the most part had a great year compared to most on here. I have lost 3 personal friend/coworkers to Covid and a cousin by marriage lost his sister to it. We have 4 family members that have Covid now. My daughter had to have corrective eye surgery due to issues from brain surgery that was done several years ago. First surgery didn't work and they had to redo the surgery, cut the muscles off of both sides of her eye and sewed them back on. Tore up my left thumb and had to have surgery and lost some of the feeling in my hand. Had a colonoscopy on December 9th, started the prep on the 7th and have had bad diarrhea since. Many tests run and they can't find an assignable cause, said it should clear up on its own in about 30 days or less. Been eating Imodium ADs like candy, bottles of probiotics, yogurt by the tub and sauerkraut and am getting close to being back to normal. Good thing is there were no problems found up the chute, so I will be 70 next time I need another one and may pass on it. Sure hope and pray 2021 is a better year for lots of the folks on the forum.

I didn't kill any family pets this year. I'm thankful.

It was a hard year to be in sales when your customers won’t see you because of restrictions. It was a mentally and emotionally destructive year. However, my golf game is better than it was in 2019 and I have grown as a fisherman. I just hope once the switch is flipped and I can see all of my customers again, I still have the drive to do it. Things will not look the same for a while. I won’t look the same either, not for a while. As the beer consumption increased, my waistline did as well.
