Not me but a guy I worked with got mad at his wife's Poodle for barking during a football game on tv, He threw a hairbrush at it. He hit it in the head and knocked it out. He was scared enough that he had killed it he gave it mouth to mouth and brought it back from death. When he came to work he told the story and immediately got the nickname poodle puffer. I don't think the dog was the same after that. Ol Poodle puffer was was never quite right even before that.

One time a buddy and I were hitchhiking and got a lift from a deranged hillbilly. He had an impressive car but it was clear he was half goofy. He kept a caged raccoon on the passenger seat so we had to sit in the back. When he took off, carbon monoxide fumes started filling up the car...the fumes were coming off the broken exhaust pipe...said he broke it on purpose.
He started driving all crazy, running off the road...he wrecked out and rolled it a couple of times. For some reason this prompted him to grab a shotgun, crawl out and then open the trunk. Believe it or not, the trunk was packed full with white pet rabbits. He was scooping them out with the end of his shotgun...some were scampering on their own.
Anyway, the hillbilly started picking them off with shotgun blasts...kept doing it until my buddy finally punched him out. It was crazy! WTF ....

The ex was good at killing pets. Took Trixie the guinea pig out to give it a bath in the kiddies pool. Her dalmatian reached in from behind and grabbed it. Next she killed hummer the lovebird by grabbing it too hard after it got out of cage while she was cleaning it. Then there was Blackberry my daughters bunny. She put him in the chickens cage with chicken wire. He stuck his head through the wire and strangled himself.

I ran over my sister's dog with a heavily lifted 4x4 pickup with 38" Monster Mudder tires. Strange thing is I killed 5 dogs with that truck in one year! Only that one year,no other pet casualties in my entire life.

Do you disclose these incidents before you pet sit for people? Lol. Was this a New Years resolution to get this off your chest?

Do you disclose these incidents before you pet sit for people? Lol. Was this a New Years resolution to get this off your chest? I have found closure. Thank you to you all. Remember, this is a support group thread, so tread lightly. I pray this thread serves as a platform for other <=> traumatized individuals to find peace in their souls over circumstances they could not control that cost the precious life of loved (or maybe not so much) family member pets. I still miss "Keet" the parakeet. I only found some bloody feathers and maybe a couple of his toes.

I've killed plenty of neighbors' dogs over the years because of their barking.
