I'm saying too fast, waay too much rear brake, not enough protective gear. I say this because I've been there, done that, 30 years later still got the scars to prove it.

Should have been in a sidecar and let a woman drive the bike.

Besides the error in handling his motorcycle, a quality set of leathers would saved him any injury. Leathers work pretty well at two or three times that speed. But, at least he had a helmet. Luck was on his side.
