We fished Fayette a few days ago (before the bad weather) and it was a bit slow. A handful of small fish out deep. Decided to jump over to Bastrop and caught fewer fish, but better quality. Tossing Traps and cranks in 2-5 ft of water. Helps to pay attention to nature. We saw some birds working some baitfish, so we moved out and started catching bass.

A friend in the know said the draw down is NOT related to an attempt to kill off the grass. The grass cycles and doesn't grow as much as it cools down and the coots are back and doing a # on it. Might as well blame the cast netters as well.

Had a guy a few years ago in a Nitro literally hit my boat with his trolling motor and once I lost my chit on him he proceeded to tell me I’m not KVD and don’t own the lake LOL! His wife was in the boat reading a book and I told her if your husband ever comes home with his azz wiped she would know why he’s a prick! He got mad and left and said he would see me at the boat ramp I told him I would be looking forward to it of course he was gone. Once again it’s Fayette.
