I need to purchase a trolling motor and I'm seriously considering the Garmin Force for my center console. The only "reviews" I have seen are videos done by retailers that sell them. I like the fact that it is compatible with 24 or 36 volts, that it can connect wirelessly to my Garmin units (1042 for Livescope and soon to be Garmin Echomap at the helm), and that the foot pedal is wireless. But, it's new and also among the most expensive motors out there so I don't want to drop $3200 (I'll need the 57") on something with usability issues.

Does anyone here have personal experience with it?

Being your boat is a center console I'm not sure if you do any saltwater fishn, I don't think Garmin make a saltwater version of the Force.....

jump all over it and thank me later.

very happy with mine, had a couple of glitches but their customer service is better than great. had a programming problem when I first got mine and they did a full exchange with shipping paid both ways. problem has long since been fixed with an upload. when you program the force you have to do a 360 for the compass, go really slow doing it, seems to make it a lot more accurate.

the active capt. on your phone will auto register all your garmin when you pr. with it, you do all updates thru it and includes trolling motor. the remote is easy to learn and both it and the pedal are quick to respond. one suggestion, hard wire the pedal and have the batteries in it, uses small red/black wiring so easy to tap into something, low amp draw.
the force comes with the uhd 54 ducer (at least mine did) which is awesome, it has a space in the mount that the livescope ducer fits in great and keeps it protected.
as for power, beats heck out of my fortrex 112 I had, force is in 36v and pulls a 95 champion 202 around at 4.8 mph with no wind.
go to sartin marine in yantis and let them get ya one and install it, great folks that went out of their way to order mine before they were a dealer.

I have 2 93sv plus/bow/console and a 92sv plus (bare bones unit, no ducer etc) for livescope.

I guess you could say, yes, I recommend it. grin

Just bought one last week and will be putting it on a Champion 190SX. Did you get the 57". I bought the 50 and I hope it will be long enough.
Hopefully I can get it installed next week and provide feedback.

I have a 57 inch force and love it. Do yourself a favor and contact rich at Hydrilla gear. He has the best price on one anywhere in the country.

I have had one for two months. I'm not overly happy with the spot lock accuracy. I'm going to recalibrate the compass and update the software and try again.

Everything else is great. Love the pedal. Love it networked to my echomap so it takes me to the brush piles with a few buttons while I get my crappie nibble on my jig and ready to pitch. Extremely powerful and cable management for livescope is great. I am using 36v on a 20 ft nitro and no issues with power or batteries draining. I'm near Lewisville if you want to take for a test drive.

Solid, Strong, Quiet...

Any authorized dealer will be the same price.

The 52" shaft is equivalent to a 45" shaft and the 57" is equivalent to a 52" shaft due to the needed room for the cable coil below the head unit.
