Which do you use for docks or brush piles? Or do you switch back and forth?

Which do you use for docks or brush piles? Or do you switch back and forth? My understanding is it isn’t a simple thing to switch back-n-forth. I think you have to pull the trolling motor, loosen the transducer mount, re attach it, then change some settings. Not exactly an easy thing to do while dock fishing.

I just keep mine at forward all the time, which gives you a narrow cone you are shooting at, to change it you pull up the trolling motor then loosen nut and rotate the ducer 90 then tighten nut back, it's just to simple to rotate the trolling motor with your foot in forward mode.

I have not been impressed with the perspective view. Maybe I need to spend some more time with it.

I have not been impressed with the perspective view. Maybe I need to spend some more time with it. I find its best set about 30 foot range so it works well under docks etc, but I havent fished with it during the spawn, I suspect it will be a good tool then as I caught fish on beds I saw on forward last year... I have both views on my front deck if I was having to switch it back and forth I probably wouldnt use the perspective much if it all.

It's actually not that hard if you have the bracket. Pull the trolling motor, twist to prospective view or forward/down and if you have auto selected it will switch to the right mode automatically.

So you have two different transducers? Or you have an aftermarket bracket? Or what? The way it comes outta the box, you need to choose one way or the other before it goes into the water.

So you have two different transducers? Or you have an aftermarket bracket? Or what? The way it comes outta the box, you need to choose one way or the other before it goes into the water.
The factory garmin perspective bracket you simply turn to change the view, no bolts have to be loosened, just like you dont loosen any bolts to change from down to forward view. he perspective bracket doesnt come in the box w live scope last I knew. Its a accessory youll need to order.

Don’t ever come to these lakes either if you’re from out of town or you will knock your lower unit off, for sure..

I like both. The perspective is really good on foundations and boat ramps.
