Any Ideas as to why this would happen?
On Aquilla last weekend in 6 ft helix showed 1.8 ft then went to 62 ft then back to 1.8 ft and so on......

My Helix 9 did the same thing. My transducer is on the trolling motor and I had to replace the transducer.

yep, ducer is shot. happened twice on my 898s and is one reason I went to garmin this time.

What gen and firmware?
My gen 2 was off until I updated to the latest FW... It read 6ft everywhere, then would jump to 90 ft and back
