What happened to these? You know, the matches that cowboys used to strike on their pants and boots and stuff. My Wife bought something called "Greenlight" matches that are absolute [censored]. They are too short and don't strike "anywhere."

When I used to spend alot of prolonged time outdoors I carried three forms of fire starters in my pack for safety. UCO Survival Stormproof Matches, a Bic lighter, and a magnesium fire starter. Bic (as long as it had fluid) never failed me.

If you had the patience to trim off the white tips of those real deal kitchen matches a kid could make some pretty awesome explosions and blow stuff up. Lucky to still have my eyesight
