Any of you Force owners opt to remove the third battery and just go with 2.
OR... How bout reducing the size of your tm batteries due to the greater efficiency?
I have a 21' Triton and rarely get to spend a whole day on the water.

have mine on 36v with 3 grp 24 dekas due to space, have yet to run them down.
may have to cut back to 24v to accommodate a hydraulic pump.

36 on full in a straight line will pull my champion 202 at 4.5 mph or a little better if wind is with me, had a 112 fortrex and the force has a fair amount more power.

Interested as well! can't believe how fast this motor moves my Nitro. very impressed.

I finally finished the install and got to give it a whirl Sunday. My force is currently running on 36v (3 older 27's). I'm not the first and wont be the last to say this thing is freaking awesome. I can only compare it to a Ultrex and it is night and day between the two in regards to smooth operations and quietness.
My plan is to purchase 2 new 27's by the spring and run it on 24v just to see if it's a good fit for my fish style/frequency. I will have to dedicate some extended time on the water and see how the batteries hold up. If I don't like the results I will just grab another battery. I would get 2 31's but if the 24v idea doesn't work then I may not have room for a 3rd 31....
Hopefully, this post filters down to the right guy that has already experimented with a similar set up! That would definitely save me some trial and error time.

It seems that alot of guys are posting how fast the new TM's are.... I have a LOADED with gear TR21x2 (big, heavy and slow) with myself 210lbs, oldest son 230lbs and my youngest son 320lbs... We got it to 3.8mph

I have no doubt mine would pull the 202 on 24v and hold good in wind, I mainly run the 36v since I was already set up with 3 new deka 27s. I run a deka 24 as start battery with 3 garmin 93s, livescope, and all the other bs we have and it has done an excellent job so far on keeping a charge.

oh, I bet if you get rid on one of those batteries you could break 4 mph! just sayin.

I am thinking about moving to a force (currently a 36v terrova). I understand the idea that more is better, but realistically, what type of difference are you looking at between, say, the following:

3 - 31s
3- 27s
2- 31s

I have 3 older 31s and never really run into a problem. I don't expect fishing marathons over multiple days. I always charge once I get off the water, each day. If I dropped down, would I be taking a "big" hit or riding the limits, or am I already in a position of overkill (given I recharge daily)? The savings of the 27s vs 31 doesn't seem overly significant (~25lbs), but getting rid of a full 31 might be interesting from weight, space and charger perspectives.

the brushless motor makes a huge difference in how long batteries will last, I run mine on 3 grp 27 deka and have not come close to wearing them out yet.
the nice thing about the force is you can hook it up for 24 or 36v without changing anything but a battery.
