Good point, no telling what is in the molded meat by-product. Not for me.

My biggest concern is quality. That was enough problem with the old Uncle Josh stuff. You would have buy three jars to get 4 or 5 good pieces.

I ain't spending that much and throwing 1/2 of it away.

I've still got enough No. 11 and No. 1 to hopefully last the rest of my life.

I never had that problem. Nor did the guys I fish with. We used #11 most of the time and they were always just fine.

Which way are you suppose to hook these on a jig flat side up or chunk side up, I never really figured that out. BTW was just looking at the website and they are already sold out of some colors so it must be selling despite that price

It's a personal preference, but we always hooked them pork side down. Honestly I doubt if it actually matters.

I bought some, it shipped fast. On the jar it shows fat down and skin up, there is actually a horizontal pre-cut slit in the chunk to put your hook through and rotate 90 degrees so you don't have to punch through the skin. I remember punching that slimy pork and tough skin with a hook on a cold day could be difficult, I don't remember there being pre punched holes in the old pork but maybe there were, been a long time since I have used it.

Yes ... Uncle Josh chunks had a pre-punched slit in them. Although sometimes it was hard to find.
