My understanding is no. I have retro fit LEDs but we have not had any ice since I installed.

nope. but, newer h/l housings usually have a vent tube on them, maybe you could find a way to pump heat in them, lol. but living 7 ft from the coast, assuming it's the texas coast, i wouldn't be to concerned

Texas Coast....Used to drive quite a bit on ski trips and it crossed my mind.
