I wonder how much geetis these ole boys will have to shell out in fines. I'd bet the civil restitution could amount to a pretty good lick.

Great job by the person who called it in and the Texas Game Wardens.  I hope they get the MAXIMUM fines on the charges filed.

I have a related question. Is having the filets in your freezer considered part of the possession limit? If so, how do we ever have enough for a neighborhood fish fry?

No. Fish stored at home does not count in possession limit. In waterbodies where daily bag limits are larger than the statewide daily bag, the possession limits remain twice the statewide daily bag limits: lakes Caddo, Kirby, Livingston, Palestine, Toledo Bend and the Sabine River below Toledo Bend. Fish stored by a person at their residence do not apply to their possession limit. Definitions of daily bag and possession limit.

I wanna know what jigs they were using,... Probably gill nets. They are a very effective way to harvest a lot of crappie in the winter time.
