What in the redneck hail do you guys have going on out there? This is a FM road that y'all charge folks to travel. Waze took me that way last night.

That tollroad is 1st class in comparison to 255 down by Laredo.

It’s your kind of raceway.. minimum speed 65, lots of curves and humps... smooth as silk, fastest way to Time Out. What’s not to like? The views are great too! Waze and Google maps are the devil.
Change the settings so they won't direct you onto toll roads (it's their default, as I'm sure they get kickbacks from the toll people)

Locally we call it the Loop of Death.
I feel they should have waited until funds were available for a 4 lane divided loop , and until it could be a true loop from I 20 east of Tyler to I 20 west of
Tyler.

I toggle both Waze and Google maps on and off for toll roads depending on where I'm going and what I value my time at that particular occasion.
If you leave tolls turned on all the time and don't look at options you can spend a fortune!
Using tolls turned on and selecting fastest way, you can spend some serious coin going from East Garland to Big Spring Tx @ 4:30 PM on a weekday afternoon but easily shave an hour and a half or more off that trip. About same cost to do that in reverse. I only did twice for special circumstances.
You can't hardly beat me hard enough to go through Austin on 35 south instead of cutting off on 130 toll road at Georgetown or the reverse if going north.
Houston can sure be worth the price to me on at least some toll roads most occasions. When I commuted and traveled around the DFW metroplex, I would always pick and choose toll or regular road depending on the changing conditions at that time of day.

Love that rtoad, worth every penney. If I'm trying to get from Greenville to Nacogdoches on 69 to Jacksonville it beats the 323 Loop around Tyler
