What is everybody's thoughts on mapping....who has the best detail, most lakes stuff like that? I'm not brand loyal to any of the three and don't really care about side scan or anything like that pretty much stay 10 foot and less. Back when I was serious there was no GPS did it all with topo maps but now getting back into it is almost impossible to get a map it is all GPS. Going to new lakes looking for info for navigating also would like to be able to run boat lanes and stuff like that.

Open to suggestions.

Thanks

Depends on the lake. Some lakes have a better map on one brand than another. Best thing is to have 2 different maps so you can use the best on each lake.

Lowrance gets the edge with their continuously growing/expanding crowd sourced mapping data (Insight Genesis Cmap social map library)
Lowrance also has the best compatibility with third party mapping software.
