Really surprised to see that there wasn’t a thread about this yet. A HS Senior from Edinburg plowed over a ref after being ejected from the game for a late hit and unsportsmanlike conduct call tonight.

Good Lord, absolutely no respect for authority.

The young people of this country, this world, why have we let it happen?

I know, because half this country believes authority has no place.

I hope that kid got arrested!

I agree, but he didn’t get arrested. He just got escorted out of the stadium. Read it on ESPN earlier.

I hear the ref left under his own power but had concussion symptoms and a possible collar bone fracture. As for the player, his hometown newspaper reports that a similar event occurred last year during a soccer game he was playing in and he was suspended for the remainder of the 2019-2020 soccer season. Can’t help but wonder how proper punishment the first time around would’ve changed the situation.
