If you are going to take a vaccine, are you just going to randomly take whatever they give you or ask for one from a specific manufacturer? Seems like Moderna vaccine had slightly higher efficacy and didn’t need to be kept at -94 degrees.

Because I’m not a mindless sheep living in fear of the boogey man.. carry on ladies Not about being a sheep for me, myself and lots of small businesses people in this country have paid a hell of a price this year. Whatever it takes to bring this to a head is fine with me. If the vaccine makes me grow a baby arm out my forehead we will deal with that later. This cant go on indefinitely. We dont get unemployment, the ppp money provided zero for owners. We just got to PAY to work most of the year, not work for free, PAY to work. I figure it has added 5 years to my retirement age if it stops in the next 4 to 5 months.

I figure it has added 5 years to my retirement age if it stops in the next 4 to 5 months. Yep. Normally, I get 20 new customers a month and average 120 sessions...fortunately, although I only had 6 new clients since we resumed operations in August, some of my regulars increased either the length of their sessions, or their frequency and although I'm down a bit financially, I haven't had to take the hit a lot of business owners have. I am blessed to work for the university, but my income is basically like a straight commission sales job. If I ain't seeing a client, I am not getting paid. I was beyond blessed that the university temporarily transitioned me into an administrative role to get me through the pandemic shutdown, because I know not everyone was able to be afforded that opportunity. I can't wait to get back to normal. I've done as much research as is possible on these and I'm more interested in the Pfizer vaccine because of some side effects mentioned early on in trials in the Moderna one...but at this point, I just want to get the vaccine and get on with life. I do my best to buy from Mom and Pop places because I know they've been hit the hardest. I don't go eat out at restaurants, but do get takeout and buy gift cards for later use if available.

what are gonna do if the Government mandates you get one within 60 days or they fine you ? I have a work colleague in high-tech , his mom is a teacher in NorCal and contracted COVID . It passed without much issue , then she went to quarantine . After quarantine and before she could go back to any level of teaching , the Govt asked her to wear a bracelet so they could track her and make sure stayed in a certain area . They made the excuse they wanted to any/all ;levels of contact tracing " just in case " there's an outbreak . We are losing our freedoms and NOBODY is paying attention !!!! The government cannot force you to get the vaccine. Your job can. Private businesses can require you to get it to be on their property. TRUTH! Our work is mandating it, yet. But they are quick to say we will monitor it and do what's best.

Depends on the specific vaccine. I want the one Dolly Parton paid for, the one that's 9-5 percent affective.

By the time it’s available to me, I think we’ll have a pretty good idea on whether there are any immediate side effects. I’m not too worried about side effects from the vaccine. The way I read this is, the FDA, under the Emergency Use Authorization given to the pandemic, moved the Covid vaccine to the front of the line for approvals, but the testing phase remains the same as it normally would. In other words, testing the vaccine was normal, it usually just takes a long time for the FDA to get to evaluating the trial data because of backlog. The EUA skips these vaccines ahead of all the other medicines and vaccines waiting for approval. However, efforts to speed vaccine development to address the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have not sacrificed scientific standards, integrity of the vaccine review process, or safety.
Recognizing the urgent need for safe and effective vaccines, FDA is utilizing its various authorities and expertise to facilitate the expeditious development and availability of vaccines that have met the agency’s rigorous and science-based standards for quality, safety, and effectiveness. Early in a public health crisis, FDA provides clear communication to the pharmaceutical industry pertaining to the scientific data and information needed to ensure development of vaccines and works quickly to provide advice on their proposed development plans and assessment of the data that are generated. https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/vaccines/emergency-use-authorization-vaccines-explained

More than one have met this demise with the same attitude - ala Herman Cain. This stuff is so random. Healthy, young die and old have no symptoms with all kinds of outcomes in between. It is not the flu - potentially much more serious according to the individual. Do yourselves a favor and get the shot. It's not worth the chance. All indications point to the vaccine being very, very effective.
