thoughts on . garmin unit with livescope deal. around 1900. vs. hummingbird. helix 12 magazine si g3.. 1999. going to put up front by trolling motor. thanjs

Of those two I think I would go live the live scope deal . Are you aware that the other big two Humminbird and Lowrance are supposed to be coming out with their on versions of the livescope .

Really want to pull the trigger on Garmin, but I'm going to wait on Lowrance and Humminbird. Haven't heard anything just want to see what they have first.

Go with the Panoptix. No need for SI on the trolling motor doesn't work well unless you're moving in a straight line at about 3 MPH. Traditional 2D and Panoptics will get it done on the trolling motor

I run Birds but have the Garmin with Livescope on the bow as well and would give up my Helix on the bow before the Garmin.

The Garmin/Livescope package would be your best option in that scenario right now even if it's only a 9 inch unit.

In a couple months (supposedly) when we actually see what Humminbird Mega Live imaging is going to look like, the Helix option might start looking better but it'll be an extra $1500 on top of the Helix.
