Spraying the grass has nothing to do with water for Dallas. TPWD sprays to kill invasive water plants which in turn has a negative impact on other plants and vegetation.

Now you know...

To give you an idea of how the fishing has been at Fork. Six of the Top Ten anglers in the world failed to catch a limit of 14 inchers all four days during the last BASS event there.

Yes, young Patrick Walters discovered a bounty of unpressured suspended fish but when some of the top anglers in the world catch TWO FISH in Two Days on Fork it is a pretty good indicator of how tough it has been. Keep in mind these are not weekend warriors.

Yes Sir its been something of a grind for a few months now.

Hydrilla is all gone, I have been on that lake since 1996, don’t tell me killing the grass has no bearing on the lake !!

As of the first week of November there were acres and acres of healthy hydrilla in multiple spots. It may not be all over the lake like it once was but it’s a long way from gone. Couple of areas were kinda choked out by it. Really surprised none of the guys that always complain about no grass haven’t started moving it around the lake one burlap sack at a time.....not that I condone that just surprised it hasn’t happened.

Don’t say where it’s at. But with houses going up where it is now I bet there won’t be acres there anymore either. Once the word gets out it’s been getting sprayed. Too much spraying down on main lake for it to take hold. Bunch of the pond weed that was prevalent on the main lake the last couple of years started disappearing mid summer this year and is gone now. Heard reports of people witnessing it being sprayed along with other areas that used to have native grasses versus hydrilla.

I was wondering about that statement about zero grass as well. I agree with you 100%.

The bank straight across from Oak Ridge always has hydrilla, and it runs for a pretty good stretch.

What area of the lake isn’t hammered?

It’s not really a secret where it is, the BASS Live coverage last month showed drone footage and had anglers specifically say what areas have grass.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

One thing is certain, there are no secrets on Fork.
