Yes, but no black box needed to run it.

Lowrance will have a new one out also=Active Target with a black box.

This Bird will be the ticket. No black box with possible extra power source and compatible G3,G4 If it works as good as my buddy's Garmin I'm in.

To run the software/processor. Since the connection to the unit is Ethernet=8 connections, something has to make the piezos turn on and off as well has use all the piezos that does the scanning==possibly hundreds of connections.

With 4 birds this will take the last spot on the switch. I imagine this will need power as well since Ethernet does not provide power and the switches are not POE.

If you look real close, you can see the two cables attached.

I'm waiting to see it. I was going for a Mega 360, but this may be a better choice next year. I'm sitting on my wallet.
