Yesterday had Joe and his son Brent back with me on LOP this time. Had them fish with me this summer on Fork and they smoked a 50 fish limit fairly quick. Let's you know your doing something right when they come back again. Joe had never fished LOP so we set out after some slabs! Last week the bite was really good but today the fish were awful picky! I changed profiles several times and still couldn't get much going! Fish would look at the jig but not bite and when they did they just mouthed it. They ended the trip with 38 slabs in the cooler and several 2 pound black crappie and I think I saw 2 good bites the whole time. I run a double Llivescope rig but the small one is mainly a nibble tray at LOP this time of year but my 12" Garmin quit working an hour into the trip! Messed with that a good while and kicked on the backup to finish the trip and dang if it didn't quit 30 minutes later! I messed around for what seemed like 2 hours with wires, tranducers, black boxes, fuses, swapping batteries! Finally figured out one battery was bad but still don't know why the other graph quit! Needless to say we finally got back in business and managed a respectable cooler of fish! Thanks for fishing with me guys! Enjoy the fillets!

Fish were caught on hand ties in shad and purple and chart on Limits Tackle heads in 1/4 and 1/8oz and Jenko Rods from Lakeside Lure and Tackle! Rigged up my new Sniper 13' but haven't gotten to test it out yet! Looking forward to that!

I dropped the boat off this morning for some maintenance but have some availability in early Dec if your looking to stock the freezer or chase down some trophy fish! Have a great Thanksgiving ya'll!

Slew cheers

Pines is a really good Crappie lake for sure. Just a reminder to folks that don't fish it often, the rules change on December 1st. From December 1st thru the last day of February there is no length limit and you MUST KEEP ALL CRAPPIE CAUGHT (25 is still the limit). On March 1st it goes back to a 10" minimum. Dang Slewfoot, hope they get your Live Scopes working. Good for you still getting on some good fish.

It was a very good day for Brent and me! Almost every fish we caught I thought was HUGE!!!

I thought Todd was going lose a lot of his hair scratching his head trying to figure out what was going on with his equipment!!
He is one of the most prepared fishermen I have ever fished with. He has back ups for his back up. I felt bad not having any decent suggestions while her was half way in the front compartment of his boat. He never gave up working on the thing. I keep thinking he might through in the towel but not a chance.
he made sure we were happy with what we had and then some!!!

Great Guide and all around good guy!!!
I will for sure be going with him again!!!

Thanks buddy! We’re all back up and running! Had a good trip to the lease! Little man knocked down a management 8 and a pig. I shuttled him around and cleaned critters! I have availability the end of next week and next weekend. Holler if you wanna go chase some slabs!!

That was probably my buddy! I didn’t fish today. Worked till noon and packed up to come to Arkansas and play dress up and watch decoys float in the water!
